We have been flying to Palm Springs for years. It’s the only location where we constantly have to keep a log of: Overnight fee + gas prices + car rental fee to find the most economical airport to fly into. PSP charged high landing fees and gas was $7.50 a gallon. KUDD doesn’t have the high landing fee or gas prices: gas was $5.54 but the rental car prices are insane. $299 for a Mercedes??! No Thanks. The normal easy work around is to have a car delivered by Hertz or Enterprise, but they said they can’t deliver to KUDD anymore, KTRM was the win specifically Thermal Self Serve. We were able to get a enterprise car dropped in indigo and fuel is $4.69 a gallon. When we arrived we were looking for parking (its to the East of the furl farm) Dan noticed us and drove the rental car over and offered us a hangar for $35 a night. After 6 years of frustration in the Coachella Valley we have finally found a welcoming place for us.
